Before thoughts of the hair industry ever entered my mind, I had always been fascinated with light and color. Art, not being 'the practical' career, was something I enjoyed outside my normal job. Eventually, I was introduced to the idea of becoming part of the hair industry and knew I had found a niche.
Fast forward 10 years and my resume includes a 6 week intensive comprehensive cutting course at the Vidal Sasoon Academy in Santa Monica, CA as well as a 2 week, in-depth color and foiling course. I have taken many classes through Schwarzkopf color, locally and in NYC and St. Louis. Classes taken at the Wella Studio in NYC can be found throughout my resume. Additionally, I have participated in classes with industry icons such as Ruth Roche, the Minardi's and the Dove's. I have attended the International Haircolor Exchange in Washington D.C. and most recently in Dallas, TX. Perhaps the crowning jewel within my resume is my designation as an American Board Certified Haircolorist having passed an intensive 3 part exam given by the ABCHs. This exam is NOT sponsored by a manufacturer, rather it simply tests the knowledge, technical ability and interactive skills of the professional colorist.
